Hello fellas
As most of you probably know, one of the most requested features is a Module Creator. As Joomla developers we have an idea of how should it be done, but we would like to hear what would you expect from a module creator.
Come on! help us to help you!

A seamless link to the component creator would be a good start. Are you planning anything with plugins?

Hi Gordon!
Linking it with Component Creator is our starting point indeed. Plugins are the next step, we have talked about it, but there is nothing planned yet. Anything else you can think about?

Hola Andres:
Saludos

If the component has a category field, offer to build a module that displays a list of items by category - and with the option for one or more categories, and the option to include nested categories. This probably provides the "mundane" work of building a module. Designing the view is our responsibility, of course.
It seems to me that the typical module types would be a single item, all items, or items by category. Perhaps for modules that list items, the module can provide filters or sorting in terms of "latest," "by author," or "by hit count." Perhaps you could provide a place for us to add custom SQL that will filter or sort on fields we add.
Also, if a link is provided on an item within a list, give us the option to have the detail page show in a popup as an alternative to reloading in the current page.
