It would be very good if there was a more in-depth explanation to what you can do (and how you can do it) on an Empty View.  Currently the only text is:

This feature allows you to create a view with no database usage, saving space in your host's server and making your component more efficient. You would want to use them when:

• Adding some code using an external API like Google Maps, Twitter or similar.
• Creating a custom form with no database usage.
• Adding static HTML content.
• Displaying information from a join of multiple database tables or from an SQL view.

Which isn't that useful...

The issue with an empty view is that... it is empty! we can't cover everything that can be coded in a Joomla view in our wiki. That kind of documentation would be the scope of  Joomla Code , Joomla Development Forums or Joomla Stack Exchange .

Hi Andres, is there anything available in the documentation for using the Parameters options?

The Parameters are added in your component XML. Other than that, there's no much else for us to say I think.
May I ask what would you like to find in a documentation about parameters?
