Allow filter on id foreign key

hello

with the foreign key field there seems to be a restraint on using the id as value and text, see attached.

I cannot see a reason for this and it would be useful if it could be removed as it will allow me easier filtering of data and it would avoid me having to create a view for this. Just text searching on an id is a work around it would be easier if I could filter on the ID of the foreign key, is there a special reason this cannot be done?

We did this to improve user experience as ID numbers in dropdown lists won't make sense for users.
