Thanks Emelia, your solution worked. I'm appalled that the creators have not sorted this out after so many people have complained (myself included, repeatedly).

Please allow me to apologize for any issue this bug series might have caused to you. We are sorry to have failed to fix them as soon as we would have liked to so we are extending your premium subscriptions 1 week.
We feel we owe you an explanation. We performed a refactoring of the helper class in front-end at the beginning of last week. This created an issue that wasn't totally fixed the first time we received the bug as enabling SEF caused another issue. This was also fixed and every user that had reported the bug via ticket told us it was working again.
Every new change uploaded is previously tested but there're virtually unlimited components settings combinations so it's easy for us to miss something. What we do try is to upload new changes in office hours so we can fix every bug that is reported by our ticket system. There're several people watching our ticket system every hour (in our working hours) so the chances of us fixing something are higher if you use the contact form, hence this sticked warning www.component-creator.com/en/forum/commu...ost-bug-reports-here
