Checkboxes not working?

Hello!

I'm using Component Creator to build a component that adds job offerings, so a list of jobs gets displayed on my website.

Example:
Name: Frontend Developer
Region: Amsterdam
Hours: Fulltime
Description: A description of the job that is being offered. 


I want to add a field where the region (city names) can be added to the job using a list of checkboxes. The list of checkboxes is displaying in the CMS of Joomla but when I try to save, the boxes return to be unchecked. In my list view it returns "COM_HEROVACATURES_VACATURES_REGIO_OPTION" and in my single view it doesn't return any value.

This are the settings im using for my Field:
Fieldname: regio
Fieldtype: checkboxes
Options: 
Value: Text:
1  Amsterdam
2  Den Haag
3  Rotterdam
(etc)


I hope someone can push me in the right direction!
