Multilanguage item list

Hello,

I made a component for a multilanguage website using your creator. I'm sure all the *.ini files are just fine.

I added the option to assign a language to items in the component - field tag: Language (Select list). In the backend I can see different languages installed and can choose one of them. However, in the frontend, no matter which language is chosen, all articles are displayed in the item list, regardless of their assigned language.
Is there anything in particular I should do in order for the component to display only items that have the currently active language assigned to them? Is this somthing I can do using the creator, or do I have to code it to do so manually?
